Bill W. Stoner visualizes profound messages, and with his gift for rhyme, creates touching verse. A former executive, he is now a rancher and raises all-natural beef in Northeastern Oklahoma. Bill & his wife Joy, of 60 years, live in Miami, OK
“Bill gives us an invaluable selection of poems penned from the richness of his own life experiences. His authentic wit and wisdom are rooted in having walked in the moccasins of one who brings comfort and compassion to others. You’ll find just the right poem in this heartwarming treasury to illuminate the path we all walk.”
-Kathryn Van Pay, Pastoral Care Counselor
Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, Texas
“These poems were written over the past fifty years with never a thought of their being published. I consider myself private and reserved, and keep my thoughts to myself most of the time. However, when writing poems, I reveal myself totally. I feel free to put on paper my thoughts and deepest feelings – to open my heart – which I would be extremely reluctant to verbalize.
For the most part, the poems reflect my own or family experiences, incidents, and occasions – happy, sad, and in-between. And there is a bit of humor tossed in at the end.
My prayer is that as you read these verses, they will somehow touch your spirit, uplift you, and bring you peace.”
